According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Q1 economic growth this year was 6.7%, employment rose by 916,000 in March, and the unemployment rate edged down to 6.0 percent.While hiring is up, many TA teams were downsized during the pandemic and asked to take on multiple additional initiatives.
To make matters worse, there appears to be a marked decline in the quantity and quality of applicants/candidates that companies are getting from their traditional sourcing techniques. Whether it is referrals, the company’s career page, Linkedin, Indeed or other boards, it is harder—not easier for most companies to find good candidates.
