We live in a world where applying has never been easier.  AI-assisted applications are mainstream, but ease has a dark side: an increasingly impossible-to-evaluate volume and a process that feels faster yet more opaque to the human on the other end.

 

Teams are accumulating 'candidate experience debt': speed without clarity that drives drop-off and brand damage, especially in high-volume hiring. Two-thirds of recruiters intend to increase AI use for pre-screening interviews, but candidates increasingly suspect they're being judged by a machine they can't see, on data they can't correct.
