This session will focus on the two major issues that are having a direct impact on talent within organizations today—The global COVID-19 pandemic and the national social justice reform efforts.  Jhan Berry and Eloiza Domingo will address what the issues are, their impact on companies and organizations today, and the implications these two major factors have on attracting, identifying, and retaining talent.

About the Panelists:

Eloiza Domingo
Eloiza is the Executive Director and Global Head of Engagement, Diversity and Inclusion for Astellas Pharmaceuticals. She joined Astellas in 2018 with responsibility for developing and implementing a sustainable Engagement, Diversity and Inclusion global strategy that reflects and enhances Astellas' culture and work environment.

In her previous role as Senior Director and Deputy Chief Diversity Officer at Johns Hopkins Medicine and The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation, Eloiza led diversity leadership programs across all of the health system's medical facilities and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In this role, she led Johns Hopkins Medicine to Forbes Top 100 Places to Work list as well as earning a Diversity Innovation award for the inception of the Center for Transgender Care, a comprehensive health center for transgender patients, their family and friends. Formerly, she was a consultant and department lead for diversity, inclusion and medical interpretation and document translations at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Eloiza has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World by the Filipina Women's Network, received the 2017 Senior Executive award from the National Association of Healthcare Executives, and was featured on the Maryland Daily Record's Very Important Professionals Success by 40 list.

She holds an M.S. in Higher Education and Student Affairs with a minor in Counseling and concentration in Diversity Education, and a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Spanish from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.

Jhan Doughty Berry
Jhan is the Executive Director of Talent Management & Strategic Relations at Educational Testing Service (ETS) in Princeton, New Jersey. She joined ETS in 2011 and has held several progressively responsible roles across the Human Resources division including Director of Diversity & Inclusion, ExecutiveDirector of Learning & Organizational Development & her current role in Talent Management.In her current role she is responsible for the strategic design and implementation of talent attraction, identification, recruitment and retention efforts that enhances the culture and work environment at ETS.

In her previous roles at ETS, Jhan has designed and led national talent management initiatives aimed at attracting and recruiting talent for the organization. Her undergraduate and graduate corporate internship programs included direct partnerships with Historically Black Colleges (HBCUs) and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) which resulted in research institutes where students receive no-cost professional development and training and internship placements for over 100+students at ETS where individuals conduct project-based, business-driven research and employment opportunities. She has also designed and implemented internal initiatives at her organization aimed at providing learning, talent development, leadership, change management and retention efforts to enhance both individual and team success.

Jhan has been recognized as one of the Top 25 Women in Higher Education by Black Enterprise Magazine and has been named a 2020 Alumni Fellow, the highest distinction given to alumni,by The Pennsylvania State University.A former Assistant Professor and mental health counselor, Jhan earned her doctoral and master’s degrees in Counselor Education with a concentration in Rehabilitation Counseling & Clinical Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Xavier University of Louisiana. She also completed a National Institutes of Mental Health (NIMH) post-doctoral fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine.
